“Since 2012, I’ve worked with Gwendolyn on several ambitious animation projects. She’s a talented and valuable team member who is both creative and analytical. Gwendolyn makes complex concepts more accessible using motion and storytelling. Her work brings tangible, positive results for our clients. Our projects together have included 3D games and configurators, an explorable virtual space, and detailed creative animations and data visualizations. We also created a series of animations on semiconductor manufacturing, showing processes in detail. Gwendolyn creates for both real-time 3D and rendered media. She embraces the challenges involved with highly detailed content and visuals, as well as staying abreast of new technology and methods. I’m always glad to have the opportunity to work with Gwendolyn.”

Nell Lundy, Interactive Creative Director

“In a complex reconstruction of a collision sequence and biomechanical injury, Gwendolyn’s talent and can-do attitude played a pivotal role in visually communicating the sequencing of the event, the injury and liability of the at-fault party.  Gwendolyn’s work was accurate, acutely evocative and as a consequence played a key role in our case’s success.  I look forward to our next project together.”

About Gwendolyn

Gwendolyn was born and raised in Rockville Centre, New York. While studying Physics at Vassar College, she discovered a passion for stop-motion animation – a type of animation that uses physical objects that the artist moves, by hand, one frame at a time…think movies like “Coraline” or “Wallace and Gromit”.

After graduation in 2004, Gwendolyn’s passion took her to San Francisco, where she pursued a career in digital animation.

She spent almost a decade working as a Technical Supervisor and Animation Supervisor at Hectic Digital.

Currently, she operates Gwendolyn Dane Visualizations, creating visualizations for a variety of corporate and legal clients.

When she is not working in Animation, she is a skilled ceramic artist. You can see her work here.
